What a trip.

Just a quick note to say the school was opened on 18th February 2007 (Gambia Independence Day). The roof was on, but school not quite finished. Fantastic day and very moving. Watch this space for pictures and a more detailed overview once everyone has returned from Gambia and shared pictures.

Hi Everyone

We`re just about to leave to go and check on the progress of the build. Update from Gambia last week was that the roof is being put on, and the rendering was being done. Will try to keep you all updated. Daren`t even imagine the possibility that we are going to reach our target and get the school built. Have had 300 badges made for the opening day on 19th February 2007- not sure exactly how much of the school will be finished, but will have a party with the childen, parents and village anyway as we are so close. Thought I`d post this picture of children outside the school who currently can`t afford to go, just to remind us all why we`re doing this.

Will be in touch soon

Fantastic news - from Christmas work bonuses from our company being donated, we have raised (including tax relief) over £1,000.

Great progress towards getting the construction completion.
